Their goal: to make each resident’s transition into the community as stress free as possible. No one can make new residents feel at home like the ones who’ve already made it theirs! These wonderful residents have volunteered to assist new residents as they get adjusted to their new home. Their willingness to show new residents around, accompany them to dinner and activities, and introduce them to others….is invaluable!
An “ambassador” is assigned to each new resident, an instant friend to our new arrival. They show the residents around, accompany them to dinner and activities, and introduce them to others. Good ambassadors will also ask lots of questions about a new resident’s background and interests and try to introduce him or her to others with similar interests.
