September 7–13, 2025 marks National Assisted Living Week (NALW), a time to honor the residents, caregivers, families, and communities who make assisted living such a vibrant and meaningful place to call home. This year’s theme, “Adventure Has No Age Limit,” reminds us that life is full of opportunities for new experiences, discovery, and joy—no matter our age.
What National Assisted Living Week Means
First established in 1995 by the National Center for Assisted Living, NALW is a week-long celebration that shines a light on the importance of assisted living communities. It’s a chance to recognize the dedication of caregivers, celebrate the individuality of residents, and encourage meaningful connections with families and friends.
Adventure Has No Age Limit
Adventure comes in many forms. For some, it’s trying something new like painting, learning technology, or sampling a new recipe. For others, it’s as simple and profound as enjoying nature, traveling down memory lane, or sharing a story with friends.
This year’s theme reminds us that:
- Exploration never ends. Whether through books, music, or outings, curiosity keeps life exciting.
- Friendship is an adventure. Every shared laugh, game, or meal brings something new.
- Personal growth continues. Residents continue to achieve milestones, discover talents, and inspire others.
How We Celebrate at Our Communities
